That’s the minimum amount of volunteers we’re looking to recruit for Startups Give Back’s upcoming volunteering event on Friday, April 28th from 10am –1pm at Golden Gate Park.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this event – it has been in the works dating back to last year. And it’s shaping up to be the largest Startups Give Back event to-date.
From Dolores Park to The Presidio, San Francisco has some phenomenal parks that see millions of visitors a year. But, especially after events, it’s not always easy to keep them in tip-top shape.
If you’ve ever been to Golden Gate Park you know that it’s massive, which poses a problem. There’s over 1,000 acres to maintain and a finite amount of people power to keep things in order.
However, with local companies coming together to lend a hand, we can make a significant impact.
What can you expect as a volunteer? Here are some of the activities we’ll be focusing on:
- Collecting trash and debris in various parts of the park
- Pulling weeds and mulching
- Stacking branches
With that said, if you’re looking to get your company involved in the San Francisco community this is the perfect volunteering event to sign up for.
