Over 225,000 Bay Area seniors live alone. And San Francisco has the highest proportion of any city in the nation at 31%.
Living alone isn’t easy. It can be extremely isolating and lonely for these veterans of life.
How about we put a smile on their faces?
On November 20th, Startups Give Back is heading to Little Brothers’ San Francisco chapter. Little Brothers is an organization that’s on a mission to reduce isolation among San Franciscans who live alone and who are either disabled or over 65 through outreach, advocacy and companionship.
From 3pm-5pm, Startups Give Back volunteers will put on their creativity hats and create Thanksgiving cards that Little Brothers will distribute to seniors around San Francisco.
This one simple act of kindness means more than you can imagine.
There are a limited amount of spots for volunteers. If you’re interested in getting involved, RSVP as soon as possible.
